BuglersHallofFame/Members/Ernie Fessler

Ernie started his drum corps career in 1936. He was a member of NY’s Con Edison corps from 1947 to 1950 and then transitioned to the NY Skyliners where he played from 1950 through 1962.

Through the years, Ernie taught many corps, including the Blue Max from Ridgewood Queens – a corps, which has turned out many talented kids including Jeff Sactig of Cadets fame.

Ernie is credited with starting one of the first Alumni corps in 1975 – Bill’s Boys. At the genial age of 78, he’s still going strong as Director and arranger for the famous Romeos.

A great talent, and an ever greater person, who deservedly belongs in the BHOF – Ernie Fesler.
