Art was a member of the CT Hurricanes as playing member and instructional staff from 1955 through 1968, during which time he was also the featured soprano soloist.

He was on the brass staff in  2000 to 2004. He was one of the "old timers" who competed in the Hurcs anniversary show in 2004.

He was the horn instructor for several CT junior corps in the 60's and 70's, including the Royal Lancers, New London Surfers, Stateliners,  Milford Shoreliners, Trumbull Troubadors, Oxford Explorers,  St Aeden's Emerald Cadets, CT Classics, St Raphael's Buccaneers, and CT Yankees Sr. Drum and Bugle Corps.

He is an active member and instructor of the Park City Pride and CT Alumni.
